Pediatrics (also spelled paediatrics) is the branch of medicine that deals with the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The upper age limit ranges from age 14 to 21, depending on the country.

March 16-22 was National Poison Prevention week. According to a CDC press release: "Unintentional poisoning is second only to motor vehicle crashes as a leading cause of unintentional injury death in the United States. Children, adolescents, and adults are all affected by unintentional poisoning.

According to the American Camp Association (ACA) more than 10 million children and adults will attend more than 12,000 day and resident camps this summer. Nearly every rural or urban EMS service has at least one day or resident camp in its service area. Knowledge of camp activities, on-site health care resources, and facility access will reduce response times and improve patient care.
